A transgender woman born in Machala, Ecuador, Aytana comes from a very hard working family. The third child of three she was faced with bullying and discrimination in her childhood. To magnify this Aytana was trapped in a body that was not hers and pretended for her early childhood to be fine acting in a different way.

She went to public school and graduated from a well known public high school in her hometown. After that she enrolled in the University of Machala and started to prepare for an English Teaching Career. Aytana loved teaching English to kids and teenagers for a few years.

In 2015 Aytana started her journey to becoming a strong woman and an advocate for the GLBT Community. Her goal was to help this community and her peers to have a better future. The first step in this journey was to get to know her fellow GLBT community, specifically the Trans Women so that she could become more aware of their hardships but also their Trans Lives and support. 

By 2016 she met the Legendary Mother of Trans in Queens NY, Lorena Borjas, who out of the kindness of her heart helped Aytana start transitioning thus bringing the amazing woman out! 

Laser Hair removal, Harmonization, are just a few things that Aytana was guided to do. In 2018 Aytana received her breast implants and has been over the moon expressing to the world as loudly as she possibly can how happy she is in her body. Aytana reiterates “Nothing comes easy if you go to bed without dreams and when you wake up you must always be willing to chase them”.

One of her lifelong dreams was to become a model. She often dreamed of becoming Miss Ecuador or the Prom Queen of her High School. This desire came to fruition in 2019 where she made her first New York Fashion Week ‘Runway’. This appearance etched her spot in history as the first transgender Latina Model of West New York’s Fashion Week.

Staying humble to herself, Aytana mentioned in an interview with the Latino Channel Telemundo for their show ‘Un Nuevo Dia’, “I’m so grateful and blessed. Going through Castings put me into West New York Fashion Week where I met the principal Director and founder Marie Llanos who called me one night to tell me she liked my photos and invited me to part of her Runway. I cried for hours and praying to God for that opportunity”

The Fashion Week appearance and achievement of one dream, was a perfect springboard to accomplish her lifelong passion makeup. In January 2020 she made a promise to herself that this will be her greatest year ever. She started work and thought on how she would like her own Cosmetic company to be represented. Of Course staging true to her roots and her free, non judgemental spirit, she created KRY Cosmetics. Kry Cosmetics is a homage to her family as the first two initials represent her niece and nephew's first names and the Y to represent herself (Kenya=K ; Rafael=R , Aytana =Y) .

Kry Cosmetics is the result of dreaming every night throughout her lifetime and never giving up, but rather waking up from her biggest dreams and realizing a dream is a dream until you start to work toward accomplishing it. Aytana lives by a few mantras but this one is true to her core, “I am a woman made of STONE. I will never be melted or held down because I am Worthy of my Dreams.” Aytana Quezada
